Dorian Waltz

For teachers wishing to expose their students to music outside the major/minor system, Dorian Waltz is a beautifully crafted work in the dorian mode that is quite approachable by string students just beyond the beginning level. Law also uses the techniques of inversion and retrograde to expand on his modal melody.
